When we moved down to Sevier County as a family in 2009, it started as just a vacation to the beautiful Smoky Mountains. That vacation never ended — and now we want to share that same experience with you. We started Legendary Vacations because we fell in love with everything about this place, and as a family-owned company we pour real care into every cabin we manage and every guest we host. Whether you're coming to unwind on the porch or you're a property owner looking for someone you can actually trust, we treat your experience like it's personal. Because for us, it is.

Meet the Team

Aidan Lacey

I was born in 2005 and moved to Sevierville, Tennessee with my family in 2009. Ever since then, I've been around cabins and the hospitality industry, so the Smoky Mountains have always felt like home to me. Growing up here gave me a real appreciation for the area and the experiences people come here to enjoy with their families and friends. I studied at the University of Tennessee and have continued learning and growing in the vacation rental and property management world ever since. Being around cabins from such a young age naturally turned into something I'm passionate about, and I enjoy helping create stays that people will remember long after their trip is over. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, staying active in the gym, and spending time outdoors. I'm passionate about providing great experiences for guests and sharing everything that makes the Smokies such a special place.

Melissa Lacey

I support our team remotely from Michigan along the shores of Lake Huron, where I've lived my entire life! I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. Coming to work for my brother was a huge career change that required a lot of soul searching, but my experience uniquely positions us to prioritize the guest experience differently than other customer-focused organizations might. I'm an extremely proud mother to four amazing children, an awesome son-in-law, and a grandmother to the world's cutest toddler. I'm also lucky to have two bonus daughters and a bonus son. I travel a lot for work and to keep in touch with my loved ones, and I love that this work has given me the opportunity to see my family in Tennessee more often! The best vacation I ever took was with my partner to Alaska. To stand atop a glacier is to feel the greater power that exists in this world.

Chris Lacey

Originally from Michigan, my wife and I moved our young family to the Smoky Mountains after falling in love with the mountains, the people, and the spirit of East Tennessee. Shortly after relocating in 2009, I began building my career in the vacation rental industry while continuing my studies in computer software engineering. I quickly saw the potential in the growing vacation rental market and committed myself to learning every part of the business. Over the years, I've developed a true passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. I believe there is something incredibly meaningful about families gathering in a home away from home, reconnecting, relaxing, and making memories that last a lifetime. That belief is at the heart of Legendary Vacation Rentals: cultivating exceptional destinations where guests can experience the Smokies in a way they'll never forget. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, kayaking, and exploring new places together. For me, life is about creating meaningful experiences with the people I love. My hope is that Legendary Vacation Rentals becomes more than a business — it becomes a lasting family legacy that continues to serve guests, support future generations, and inspire my sons and their families to pursue their own dreams.
